Enthusiasm and optimism does not hurt anyone. On the contrary! It’s great to fill our lives with moments to enjoy, however small they may seem. These are the moments that inspire us to design our products. But we do it for nothing more than to bring a small dose of joy into your life.
We are a family business and we don’t renounce to our origin. In our own facilities in Viladecans (Barcelona), the past, the present and the future go hand in hand. Our team, working closely with our local collaborators, gives volume to ideas and sketches, turning them into design pieces.

History
RS Barcelona’s journey is the history of a dream in four stages.
It all began with Rafael Rodríguez Castillo, an employee in metallurgist’s, who in 1975 decided to set up his own business. One day, his small workshop turned into an industrial unit, Barcelona, where there was enough space for his two sons to climb aboard.
Along with the second generation of the family, the dream of RS Barcelona took on a new dimension. Manufacturing for others wasn’t very satisfying. The creative bug stimulation was impossible to resist and it was scratched through the company’s first own product: the RS#2 design football table, a highly personal reinterpretation of one of the classic items of Spanish game culture.
In 2006, the RS2 had earned itself a spot in Barcelona’s most important design shop window: the legendary and fabulous Vinçon. A window shop with international renown. Something like that fills you with pride and gives you the courage to take the plunge and manufacture other products, to set your sights on new horizons and new markets. The big leap forward was the first foray into the US market, a market singled out by the brand right from the start. RS Barcelona’s catalogue grew little by little and its products began to be featured in leading and trend setter shop windows all over the world. This sort of success can be dizzying. But the trick is getting excited and keep putting your heart and soul into every little challenge.
And now we’re in the fourth stage of this dream. It’s just begun. We are working hand in hand with both young and internationally renowned designers and with a team of professionals who combine expert craftsmanship with years of metalwork experience, finely honed industrial production skills and new technology know-how. Together they come up with new ideas and innovative concepts to create intense living products.
